Description

If you find the heart you must also look for the soul. Along with gathering the O3 and S2 layer for the heart nebula, I also finished up the same channels for the SHO of the soul nebula.

The sharpness and detail in the structure is my favorite part of the image.

The soul nebula is a hydrogen emission nebula with several open clusters present in the constellation of Cassiopeia. Often paired with the heart nebula it is located 7,500 light years from earth.

My wife and I still have a good laugh with what we see in the image. In the classic orientation, she sees a late first trimester baby in the womb and when I rotated it 180 degrees I see a baby buffalo gleefully chasing after a second tumble weed after already tossing the first over its head.
